Nowadays, affected by the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), most of us are required to stay at home. We can only choose to work remotely from home or participate in distance learning.

If you encounter the black screen when having a video conference on your laptop, and the sound is normal, it's most likely that something goes wrong with your discrete graphics.
But the premise is that your graphics drivers are normal. It means that you can see both graphics cards in Device Manager.

You can run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and get to the Display tab to see whether the device name shows your integrated graphics or discrete graphics. If only the integrated graphics card is displayed, that means we are thinking the right thing.

In this case, disabling the discrete graphics in Device Manager can help you get rid of the black screen issue.

Please note that this method only applies to laptops. :D

If you have the same problem and can't solve it by yourself, feel free to reply with your screenshot of Driver Talent, DirectX Diagnostic Tool and Device Manager(with Display adapters expanded). We'll try our best to help you.  ;)

Driver Talent / Fix Network only available with Ethernet but Wi-Fi
« on: November 10, 2017, 05:49:40 AM »
Network issues are the most irritating computer problems. One of the network hitch some users encounter is that the Ethernet is available on their laptop except for the wireless network. It's not convenient for those who are used to working on-the-go. Such network connection issue, mostly, is related to the network driver. And two tricks for such problem:

Way 1. Use Driver Talent for Network Card
You can connect to the Ethernet and download Driver Talent for Network Card, which is designed to fix Wi-Fi driver problems. Launch the software and click the "Scan". It will scan your wireless network driver and reinstall it offline.

Way 2. Repair Wi-Fi Driver with Driver Talent Pro
Also, connect to the Ethernet and install Driver Talent Pro. You need to download the wireless network driver with this edition of Driver Talent in advanced if you want to install the driver offline.

By the way, the two methods also work on PC/desktop with wireless network card if it runs into such issue.

Some may come across slow driver download speed or 0b/s during the downloading while using Driver Talent version to download drivers like network driver, graphics driver, sound card driver, etc.

The quick solution to get the driver updates with a high speed is to the last Driver Talent version: if you encounter the slow download issue with the v6.5.58.168.

If there is still problem exist please contact our tech support team.

Driver Talent / My Driver Talent Reported Code "Used Up" Error!
« on: May 27, 2017, 07:57:32 AM »
Feedback from users:
"I reformatted my computer and now my code don't work. It reported code used up when I try to activate Driver Talent Pro. I use the code on the same computer."

The code for Driver Talent is designed to associate with specific computers. Take the code for 1 PC as the example, it can be associated with only 1 machine. So if you use this code on another machine, this error will appear.

This error also happens even if you use this code on only one PC, just as the example in the above. It happens mostly because you have multiple disks on your computer. In this case, please contact our support team for help.

If you recently updated drivers and soon after that the issue "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (asmtxhci.sys) BSOD" occurred, you should roll back to the previous drivers. You could restore it from backup or roll it back from the system under Device Manager.
And please note not to update it until the manufacturers released updated version of those drivers to fix that issue.

Another case that caused this problem is the driver version for US 3.0 Root Hub and USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller is not the same. So please check them and correct them if it is the case.

Bluetooth failure seems is common after Windows 10 update. A couple of things could cause your Bluetooth device to not work, and we’ll talk about them now. First, it won’t hurt if you check if your Bluetooth is enabled. To do so, go to Settings > Devices and check if Bluetooth is toggled on.
