Driver Talent / PC is Slow after Windows 10 Creator update?

Some users have also complained about their PC performing quite slow than before once they’ve installed Windows 10 Creators Update. That may be common in Windows PC. And if you want a quick boost in speed, try cleaning Windows 10 junk, optimize system settings.
Here are some solutions to fix PC slow after Windows 10 Creators update.

1.Optimize Startups

Some programs start automatically when you boot the computer. The aim is to minimize these startups and services.

    Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys simultaneously.
    Select Task Manager.
    Select the Startup tab.
    Disable all the unnecessary startups.
    Now click on Disable and select the Services tab.
    Select the Hide all microsoft services checkbox.
    Uncheck all unnecessary services you want to disable.
    Click on Stop.

Note: When you are unsure about optimizing computer’s startup, consider using a third-party solution such as Reginout System Utilities. It will also optimize Windows 10 services, and speed up your Windows 10.

2. Optimize High Startups Impact Process

Removing the unnecessary processes with high startup impact can also help to fix slow boot in Windows 10.

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Del keys simultaneously and then select Task Manager.

2. Turn to the Startup tab.

4. Right-click the unnecessary startups with high startup impact and then choose Disable.

5. Toggle to the Services tab and select the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox.

6. Uncheck all unnecessary services you want to disable and click on Stop.

3.Change the Boot Time Interval

Try reducing the boot time interval to only 3 seconds. You’ll notice a tremendous improvement in the system performance if you follow this rule.

    Press Windows Key + R.
    Type msconfig and press Enter.
    Click General | Selective startup.
    Select the Load system services and Load startup items checkboxes.
    Select Apply.
    Open the Boot tab.
    Set the Timeout to 3 seconds.
    Click Apply.
    Select Advanced options.
    Choose Maximum processor from the Number of processors.
    Click OK.
    Reboot your PC.

4.Change Power Settings to Speed up Slow Windows 10 Creators PC

Making good use of the Power Options by modifying it can dramatically improve the startup performance to speed up slower Windows 10 Creators Update computer.

1. Press Win + X to open Control Panel and then choose Power Options under the Hardware and Sound category.

2. Select Choose what power buttons do.

3. Open Change settings to view the options that are currently unavailable.

4. Click on Shutdown settings and then tick the Turn on fast startup checkbox.

Bluetooth failure seems is common after Windows 10 update. A couple of things could cause your Bluetooth device to not work, and we’ll talk about them now. First, it won’t hurt if you check if your Bluetooth is enabled. To do so, go to Settings > Devices and check if Bluetooth is toggled on. Can't connect to computer from your Bluetooth enabled device? Make sure you have allowed the Bluetooth devices to connect to your computer. Try the steps below:

1. Go to Control Panel. Click "Hardware and Sound" and "Bluetooth Devices".

I just updated my laptop to Windows 10. And I found the CPU usage is very high after update. I tried to find some solutions to deal with it.
Finally, I found some effective ways. Here, I want to share with you that How to fix high CPU usage after Windows 10 update.

Way 1:Registry Hack:

Hit Win Key + R
Type in “Regedit” and then hit Enter.
Go to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management’
Find ‘ClearPageFileAtShutDown’ and change its value to 1
Restart the computer

Way 2: Fix the driver issue:

Open ‘Device manager’ and ‘Scan for hardware changes’.

This problems always happen after system update. Here I recommend you to use Driver Talent.

Way 3:Disable startup programs

Hit Win Key + R
Type ‘msconfig’ and press enter
The Task manager window will open. Click on the “Startup” tab and you will see a list of programs that run at startup.
Right click on the applications that you don’t want to run at startup and select “Disable”.

Way 4:Disable Superfetch Service

Superfetch service has been reported by many Windows 10 users as a likelihood causing of high disk performance or CPU usage issues after Creators Update. Follow the instructions below to stop the Superfetch service.

Step 1. Click the Start button and then type cmd.exe in the search box.

Step 2. Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.

Step 3. Click Yes to continue on the prompt UAC window.

Step 4. Type the command net.exe stop superfetch and then hit Enter. Wait for the system to stop Superfetch service for you. You could see the results as below picture shows once it is stopped successfully.

I recently ordered Driver Talent Pro to install my network printer. DT finds the HP printer but keeps telling me no driver available for it when I know for sure that driver is available
